The Good New is That They're Both Okay

Friday night at 11:30, our 19 year old daughter calld to tell us she’d been in an accident. She’d left our house with her boyfriend about 15 minutes prior to the call.  The last thing I said was “Have fun and be careful.” But you can be careful and still get hurt, especially when the other driver isn’t paying attention and does something stupid. To me it’s a miracle that she could get out of this vehicle with only a slight concussion, a fat lip, bruised knee, sore wrist and a few cuts. The same can be said for her boyfriend. They both had on their seatbelts and the airbags deployed. So this weekend I’m grateful for the little things. The things that really matter.
