It is a story about a 12 year old girl named Kristina who doesn’t quite fit in at her school. Her favorite teacher gives her an odd Christmas gift that will transport Kristina into a realm of fairies, gnomes, and an evil queen with an army of gruesome creatures called zelbocks. Kristina finds herself at the center of it all as “The Chosen One” charged with placing the Magic Warble back in it’s rightful place which will free the land from the evil queen. On her adventure she is joined by Prince Werrien and mischevious fairies Clover and Looper.

The plot has many twists and turns which keep you guessing right up to the end. Kristina has some doubts, but she doesn’t let that stop her from fulfilling her destiny to be “The Chosen One.” She overcomes many obstacles and learns to trust in herself and her new friends.

Sorry for how short this will be. I’ve been working, sweating, and stressing over switching our site to a new host because our other hosting company sucked. I’ve wanted to switch for years but have always chickened out at the last minute because it looked to hard and complicated for me. You know what? It was hard and complicated and I’m still tweaking things, but I did it! Go me! I promise you won’t come to our site and say “What the Hell happened here?” for very long!

In hindsight, staying up until 1am with Perry the Wonder Dog may not have been my best idea. Giving him a bath and a haircut has been on my Pre-Road-trip To Do List, but I wasn’t planning on starting at 10pm last night. It all started because Perry was having some “issues”. Because he needed a haircut, his fur was a little too long on his back end which caused said issues. Apparently, this is very depressing to dogs, or maybe just to Perry. I really don’t know. I was trying to walk him last night but he didn’t even want to walk. He would just lie there in the grass, in the dark with his head on his paws looking sad. This is usually a dog that could give a Jack Russell on speed a run for his money. Even though it was already after 10, I knew it meant bath time. What the Hell??!! I’ll spare you the gory details and just say it involved rubber gloves, warm soapy water, and scissors. I brought him back upstairs to dry him off and since he was sitting on my lap I started trimming his fur a little at a time and much to my surprise he let me! All the other times, grooming him has meant sedatives (not for me, for him, although afterwards I could probably use one) and another person to hold him. I took advantage of the situation and just kept cutting. Before I knew it, it was 1am. Looking at him this morning, he doesn’t look too bad but I’m exhausted.

Sometimes in the middle of the night when I should be sleeping, but can’t, my mind wanders to some weird thoughts. I have always said I just want my children to be happy when they are adults and that is all that is important, but that isn’t exactly true. I would have a real problem if one of my children announced that they were going to join the circus to be a clown. I hate clowns! C’mon, admit it, they are just so creepy! So, as long as none of my children become clowns, we are good. Unless…… one of them gets a pet monkey. Okay, monkeys, clowns, and monkey-owning clowns are out, but I can deal with anything else.

The countdown is on. I have less then 3 weeks before we leave on our next Great American Road Trip to Disney World and even less time to get Sissy ready for her class trip to D.C.

In preparation for all that, I spent Sunday engaging in that infamous children’s torture known as “trying on last summer’s clothes to see what fits”. Despite all the moaning and groaning we managed to get through it and I discovered J-Man has like 30 summer shirts and 2 pairs of shorts. Sissy needs a little of everything.

So what did I buy when we went to the mall yesterday? More shirts and only 1 pair of shorts for J-Man. Good planning. In my defense, the shirts were on sale and I had a coupon.

Last week I had a dream that I was on Dancing with the Stars and my partner was none other than Carson Kressley. Seriously? Does that mean Carson is my dream man? Not that he doesn’t seem like a nice guy and all but you’d think in my dreams my subconscious could’ve picked a dreamier kind of guy. Then there’s the fact that I can’t dance, I’m not a star, and I’d break my ankle in those shoes!

I’m in the process of finding a new web host for our blog and I’m a little lot nervous about the whole thing. I’m imagining every single post, comment, and photo disappearing with one single click of a button. Plus, I’m not sure if I will lose all my email. I need to make the decision soon, like today. If we disappear in the next few days, we’ll be back, just maybe starting from scratch.

I’m pretty disgusted with Mother Nature right now. It feels more like winter and on Monday, it looked like winter. What The Hell??!!

Our fridge is still acting bipolar. If we keep it at the lowest possible temperature it finally cools down and then freezes everything. Then if we even think that maybe we can adjust the freakin’ thermostat, it goes back up 40 or above. My husband wants to take everything out, put it in a cooler and defrost the damn thing. Might work, but I’m not too thrilled at the idea of living out of a cooler for any length of time. I just want it to work. Is that too much to ask?

J-Man is either still sick or sick again. I can’t even tell any more. I sent him to school because they have state testing today and because of the “attendance letter”. I’m thinking of getting him one of those big plastic balls that look like the hamster balls that people can fit in and sending him to school in that. True, it might be a little difficult on the bus and he might get picked on, although he could just roll over them and knock them down like people bowling, but at least he wouldn’t catch every damn thing that everyone else brings to school!

I actually wrestled one of the computers away from the kids tonight so that I could write my Random Thoughts. It was hard, thank goodness for duct tape and zip ties.

I got all excited tonight when I saw that Instagram was now available for Android. I’ve seen Elle and other people post really cool looking pictures with it. Only problem is, I tried to use it and couldn’t figure out what I was doing. I’m so 2 years ago when it comes to this stuff!

I’ve been thinking I should change back to my maiden name now that I’m divorced. My maiden name is quite unusual, and people definitely remember it. The thing with that is, there’s sooooo much to change!!!! I don’t know if my brain can take that much paperwork.

I tried to get a job waitressing at night to earn more money to try and catch up, get ahead, or hell just to have any money. I’d keep my day job, but also work a few nights a week. I was a little bummed that I never heard back from them after my interview. And then a friend of mine texted me that he heard they had lost their license for a week. Hmmmmm, maybe that’s why they haven’t called, and yes I know what you’re thinking….it’s probably not somewhere you want to work. I know, I’ve gotten that a lot lately.

I’m really tired of 4th grade homework. I’m so ready for summer vacation!

The next few weeks are going to be so busy. We have to get Sissy ready for her class trip to Washington and our trip to Disney World the day after she gets home. I need to figure out what to do with our dogs (anyone want to watch them?) and where and when to have J-Man’s birthday party. So what did I do on my day off yesterday? Not much.

We gave J-Man his last dose of his second course of stronger antibiotics yesterday. He was coughing non-stop this morning, making me wonder if his pneumonia is cleared up or not.

He is the pickiest eater ever and I’m worried that his diet isn’t helping him get better. I’ve been giving him orange juice, vitamins with iron and have started slipping healthy stuff in his chocolate milk shakes. I had the bright idea to add chocolate Pedia-Sure instead of milk to it, then I got even more creative and added a couple of tablespoons of applesauce. So far, he has no idea and I will personally take down anyone who tells him.

Today I had to buy new soccer cleats for Thing 2 since his feet grow about 2 sizes every few months. I went in and asked for the cheapest priced pair size 7 1/2. The salesperson went to look and came back with 2 different styles, both way more expensive and the wrong sizes. What the Hell?? Apparently they didn’t have a size 7 1/2, so he brought me 7′s in two of the most expensive pairs! Okay, I get grabbing a bigger size, but a smaller one?? I had him go back probably three times before I decided on a pair that was still more than I could afford, but was the right size. He finally said to me, “I’m new.” Really?? I couldn’t tell. I guess that would be my excuse if I sucked at my job too.

The good thing about having a blog is you get to say what you want about anything. The bad thing about having a blog is all the people you know who read your blog and you’re unable to say what you really want to because it will tick said people off. What The Hell??

I applied for housing assistance awhile ago. I was put on a waiting list. The other day I got a letter in the mail notifying me that a 3 bedroom apartment had opened up. I went down to the office and was told that because I moved out of that town, I no longer qualified. Even though it was only about 2 months ago. What The Hell?? Whoever “Murphy” was, I would like to punch him for making up his stupid laws!

The Easter Bunny really shouldn’t have done all of his shopping at BJ’s this year. I did send candy home with both of my older daughters but am having trouble getting rid of the 3 lbs of Starburst jelly beans. What the hell was the Easter Bunny thinking?

Hey, guess what…. J-Man has another cold. I was hoping last night it was just allergies but, no, it’s a cold. He is still sick from pneumonia and still on antibiotics and still has a horrible cough. Lovely. He has state testing again today so he has to go. For a winter that wasn’t that bad weather-wise, it’s sure been bad sickness-wise for him. What the hell??!!

I’m a little sad that everyone is leaving today. It’s been so much fun having the twins here. Oliver was already walking but Owynn hadn’t quite let go to walk on his own. But now he is walking around our house and he’s so proud of himself. They are just so adorable and we’re going to miss them all so much when they leave.

I admit I’m still wincing over the “G” word (grammy). Every time I hear it, I think of my MIL because she’s Grammy around here. Not me. It is a little weird to be a grandmother and still have younger kids at home. One of the benefits of getting married so young I suppose. For now I’m Grammy because I can’t seem to come up with anything better. I’m looking for something better before the boys talk and I’m stuck with Grammy for the next 40 to 50 years. Any ideas?

Our fridge seems to be going through menopause. We noticed that it seemed a little warm so we put a thermometer in there. It climbed up to 40 then almost 50 degrees. Ya, let’s have some meatloaf with a side of food poisoning. Then it dropped to 30 degrees and things started getting frosty. Then back up again to above 40. Right now we’re in the ice age again until the next hot flash. This is the fridge of my dreams but it will have to wait. It’s really not in the budget with out trip to Disney World next month. Food poisoning isn’t that bad, right?

Over the weekend we received a letter from the principal at J-Man’s school regarding his attendance. The first sentence went like this “It has come to my attention that the J-Man…….” Really, that the J-Man? Now, we all make mistakes, but when the letter comes from the school, you would expect it to be correct, especially if it’s from the principal. Oh, and for the record, when J-Man is sick, he will stay home. Period.

He has been sick for the past two weeks and didn’t go anywhere during Easter break. He missed the whole week of school before Easter Break also. I sent him back yesterday even though he is still coughing a lot because his pneumonia hasn’t cleared up, he got an ear infection, and he’s on yet another round of stronger anti-biotics. I sent in a note to his teacher explaining how sick he is/has been and when J-Man got home from school I said “Was the teacher happy to see you? Did she ask how you were feeling?” He said “She didn’t say anything. Nobody cared.” I’ll be so glad when 4th grade is over.
