Snuffy Cat

We’ve always known Snuffy was a special cat and we couldn’t love him anymore. We adopted him from Lollypop Farm back in December 2000. With his offbeat facial features and winning personality, we knew he was the kitten for us.

Because he doesn’t have a nasal bridge, or nose bone, he not only looks a little different from other cats, he wheezes when he breathes, snores when he sleeps, sneezes a lot and snorts like a pig. Hence the name Snuffy. He really is one of a kind!

The only issue he seems to have with this is that he catches colds fairly easy and all the gunk comes out his nose. He runs away as fast as he can when he sees me with a tissue in my hand. It is pretty gross when he sneezes.

I find it interesting how Snuffy, with his facial issues, and Rosie, who is deaf, are best friends. You can often find them cuddling together and it’s not something I see with the other cats.
