Every year I am always so excited for school to start! I can’t wait for them to go back and get into a routine! That is, except for this year. I don’t know why…whether it was the crappy weather all summer or what, but this year I’m not looking forward to it. They start on Wednesday and I’m not ready for it at all. The waking up super early, getting them ready, the homework, me going back to work, and all the rest of it! I wish there were another 4 weeks of summer left!
Speaking of back to school, the other day I spent $120.00 on school supplies, primarily on just the supplies! $40 was on clothes, and socks, but the other $80.00 was just in stupid supplies!! I have a 4th grader and a 6th grader, H E L L O??? I think that’s a bit much! And then when they go back there will be the inevitable back to school fundraiser and school pictures! Because those have to be done immediately when you don’t have any other money left from the stupid supplies! Okay enough ranting
Have you seen the commercial for Burger King where the King is standing over a woman’s bed and he tickles her nose with a feather? I’m sorry but if I ever woke up to that standing over me I would probably have a heart attack from fear and die!!
I am now addicted to playing Scrabble on Facebook! I play against Elle, of course, who refers to herself as, “The Scrabble Queen”. Well, the Scrabble Queen has beaten me probably about 6 times now, but I have beaten her twice, and I plan on beating her more! Watch out sistah, “The Scrabble Princess” is going to take your crown!

We’re a little late posting our RTT today and it’s my fault. I was back in the ER last night. It’s getting to be my Monday routine right down to wearing the same clothes I had on last Monday. My plan is to wear something completely different next Monday you know, just in case in some weird way it’s my unlucky ER outfit. Every time I go to the ER the waiting room is just crazy and interesting. You can’t help but people watch. I was sitting next to a woman with 2 little boys. One of them was about 3. He saw me texting on my phone and he asked me
“Is that your phone?”
“Yes, that’s my phone.”
“Can I have it?”
“No.”
“Is that your book?”
“Yes.”
“Can I have it?”
“No”
I bent my head down to read my book and this hand reached over and tugged my hair. I looked up and he asked me
“Is that your real hair?”
“Yes, it’s my real hair.”
I’m pretty sure if I said no he would’ve asked if he could have it.
