Don't Hit Anybody With That Driftwood!

Yesterday I  blogged and tweeted about our issue with Verizon billing. I was pleasantly surprised to get a twitter response from them. I’m hoping that we can resolve this today! I think my husband was a little surprised that I got a response. He’s still a little skeptical that it can be taken care of without him going down to the Verizon store. Keep your fingers crossed that I can take care of it so he’ll see that my blogging isn’t a total waste of time. We’ll see and I’ll keep you posted!

All my little children got on the bus and went to school today! That means I can actually go to work. I can hardly believe it. I knew there was a reason the sun was shining today.

After having a few days of them home, my morning routine was a little rusty. At the last minute I looked at J-Man’s school calendar and realized it’s his day for show & tell. They usually have an assigned theme and today’s theme was “something from nature”. If you know J-Man, you know he hates nature. We went camping with him once to Point Sebago in Maine. Now by camping, I mean we rented one of their fully stocked 2 bedroom trailers. He looked out the back window of the trailer which backed up to some beautiful Maine woods and his take on it was “Look at all that dirty stuff.” Ya, my son the nature hater. Don’t look to him to save the planet anytime soon. Soooooo finding something at the last minute was a little hard. None of the seashells we had were good enough. Finally, I grabbed this long piece of driftwood and said “How about this?” With a roll of his eyes he agreed. As he got on the bus I yelled “Don’t hit anybody with that driftwood.” Because basically it’s a long stick that is going to be very tempting for little boys to hit things, teachers and each other with. I’m just hoping I don’t get that dreaded call from the teacher today.
