You know when you were younger and you thought your parents were so old because they didn’t understand slang words you used?  Yeah well apparently I’m old because Thing 2 has started using some words that I do not understand!  The other day he and his friend “G” did something and I said, “why did you do that?”  And he says (in his best thug voice), “Street Rules Man”.  What?  What are street rules?  Of course my friend Nips and I have taken to a whole new level to annoy our children.  Now every time we do something we say, “Mom Rules Man”, “Gym Rules Man”, “Car Rules Man”.  I’m thinking they will stop using that saying pretty damn fast!

There is one type of person I hate seeing at the gym.  Not that I’m judging because it’s “The Judgement Free Zone”.  It’s the make up, perfume/cologne wearing people who don’t sweat at all.  They do like 5 minutes of cardio and then text on their phone and stand around looking good.  It’s really annoying when you end up next to them on a machine because their perfume will knock you over.

Did you know that the guy from the Planet Fitness commercial that says, “I pick things up and put them down” is in adult films…..the kind that just has men in it?  Yeah I didn’t know either, and I used to want one of those t-shirts but ever since I learned that one I’ve decided not to buy one.  I really don’t need a shirt that makes me think of gay porn.  Just sayin’

Am I the only person on the planet totally uninterested in Oprah’s last show?

Did you hear that the Rapture has been postponed until October 21. I didn’t read the article, just saw the headline so I’m not sure of the logic (bwahahahahaha, logic) behind the date change, but I’m sure it was just a math error. So now do I decorate for Halloween or not?

I’m going through some big changes at home. This is my last week at the pharmacy I’ve worked at for the past 6 years. I have a new position as the customer service coordinator at a local animal shelter. I’m really excited about it. The shelter has always been a great place to take the kids to visit and where we have adopted 4 of our 5 pets.  I’m under strict orders from my husband not to bring any new pets home. Even though I’m excited, I’m sad to leave all my pharmacy friends. But change is good and I’ll see them when I’m grocery shopping and on Facebook.
