Tuesday Randomness

If it’s Tuesday this must be Random Tuesday Thoughts. It used to be brought to you by Keely at The Un-Mom but she’s taking a hiatus. Okay, it’s been a really long hiatus but Random Tuesdays still rock on with help from Stacy .

How did it get to be Tuesday already? So much for blogging more this past week.

I finally got my haircut and highlighted on Sunday. I haven’t been to the salon since March, right before I went to Disney Social Media Moms. The dark roots weren’t bothering me as much as the gray. For years I’ve been super low maintenance. Going a year between haircuts and coloring my own hair was the norm.  When I made the appointment I was surprised they were open on a Sunday but lucky for me they were. Apparently, I’m not the only one who didn’t think they would be open becauseI was the only one there. Can I just say how awesome having a whole spa to yourself is, because it is soooo awesome.

Last night we all went to the mall. Shopping as a whole family isn’t easy. I needed pants for work but ended up getting shoes for the new teen and the 9 year old. Then picked up a dress for the teen. Once again I came home with nothing. I can’t think when everyone is talking and there might have been some whining involved. No, it wasn’t me. I save my whining for the blog.

Maybe with my new awesome hair they won’t notice I wear the same few outfits day after day.

Have you ever watched “What Not To Wear”?  I love Stacy & Clinton, and the stuff they say to people.  Like, “Stripper Glitter isn’t work attire unless you are an actual Stripper”  And one woman was wearing something so small Stacy said, “is that an outfit or a bathing suit?”  The woman answered, “It depends. Because you can wear the top under a jacket and then it’s like “Surprise!”   Sometimes I think the people on that show really need a real friend to say, “oh no, you are NOT wearing that out in public!!”

I got a bad sunburn over the weekend.  I went to put some sunburn relief gel on and it says right there on the bottle, “Do not swallow”.  Damn, I was really thirsty tonight too!

Being alone floating in the pool with no kids around is absolutely awesome….except for when you get a sunburn from it!
