Take a Moment to be Thankful for what You Have on This Random Tuesday
Last week I found out that Thing 2 is allergic to, well everything. Which includes, all nuts, soy, wheat, corn, sesame and every tree. What he’s not allergic to, cats and dust. Seriously? Guess what’s in everything, wheat, corn and/or soy. Even in the all natural aisle every single thing has wheat or soy! Ugh.
Tonight I saw a preview for Taken 2. I didn’t see the first one (Taken), first because I don’t like Liam Niasom, I find him creepy. And second, it didn’t look that good. I don’t know about you, but I wouldn’t want to go on vacation with my Father after the first kidnapping.
Okay, I know I’m suppose to be funny and sarcastic with my random thoughts but I’m going to be serious for a moment. Over the weekend I lost a dear friend from high school. She passed away from liver disease. This of course has been on my mind. She was my age and had a 14 year old daughter.
I guess what I’m getting at is, as much as life is difficult, we’re all lucky with what we have. I saw her last month and she was happy, successful and so full of life. We laughed, joked and talked until the wee hours of the night. I’ll always cherish the memories of that week, and our silly times as teenagers. She was taken far too young and fast. It’s not fair. You never know what can happen in such a short time. My youngest really liked her, probably because she kept saying he was her favorite. Although she made sure my oldest knew he was awesome too. They both had a hard time understanding how a Mom so young could die. And how sad her daughter must be. My youngest said, “That’s got to be the saddest thing, Moms aren’t suppose to die. They’re suppose to take care of their kids.” So hug your kids, and be thankful that no matter how hard life can be, you’re still here.

If it’s Tuesday this must be Random Tuesday Thoughts. It used to be brought to you by Keely at The Un-Mom but she’s taking a hiatus. Okay, it’s been a really long hiatus but Random Tuesdays still rock on with help from Stacy.
