Moving, Lysol & DPW
Stacy
I hate getting emails from my sons teachers. They’re never good, maybe some people get good ones about how well their kids are doing in school. The one’s I get are never those kind of emails. The ones I get are the, “your son did this in school today,” or like today’s email that was, “your son didn’t do his work in class today.” Ugh.
That of course leads to the dreaded punishment for not doing their work. Which we all know is actually the parent’s punishment because their child makes their life a living hell when we take away their technology. Ah, the wonderful joys of teenagers, and how awful their life is.
I hate moving. I hate packing. I hate unpacking. I hate every single part of moving. Moving is grounds for divorce, fights, stress and being sore, tired and unable to move. Guess what I’m doing at the end of this month?
You know what’s weird. When you work a part time seasonal job and they don’t mail you your last paycheck. Two weeks later when the check is definitely not in the mail, you have to drive down there and finally get it. And then even weirder, because it’s a toy store you end up buying your other child who you did not get an email about today, a stupid Skylanders toy because he can’t complete his levels without them. Yeah, weird.

I can’t believe that Stacy beat me posting today. I’m a little stunned.
I was thinking I might have been getting a little paranoid about trying to stay away from sickness this year. So far we’ve been okay while people around us, friends, family, and co-workers have been dreadfully ill. We’ve had some colds and strep throat, but not the dreaded stomach bug or the flu that is going around. I’ve been cleaning off my phone, desk and keyboard at work with alcohol and using hand sanitizer like crazy. But my volunteer came in today with her own can of Lysol and she proceeded to spray it all over the desk. Take that germs! Maybe it’s not such a bad idea. I’m going to start carrying my own can of Lysol.
This weekend I decided to take February break off with the kids. We aren’t going anywhere, just spending time together. I will have 9 glorious days off in a row. I can’t wait!! I will start carrying around Lysol to make sure we aren’t all sick over February break.
I realized that since 2009 we’ve been lucky enough to go to Walt Disney World each year and every January I’ve had something to look forward to. This year we don’t have a trip planned and I’m having Disney Planning Withdrawals. It’s totally a real condition and the only cure is a trip to Disney. I hope I don’t have to suffer DPW for long!
Don’t forget to join us for What The Hell Wednesday tomorrow!

If it’s Tuesday this must be Random Tuesday Thoughts. It used to be brought to you by Keely at The Un-Mom but she’s taking a hiatus. Okay, it’s been a really long hiatus but Random Tuesdays still rock on with help from Stacy.
