Do your kids play any sports, if so, which one’s and do you worry that
\nthey’re going to get hurt?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Stacy<\/strong><\/p>\n

Our youngest plays football, and this is his second year.\u00a0 Last year he hardly played at all, and when he was on the field he really wouldn’t tackle anyone.\u00a0 I barely had to wash his uniform, it was never dirty!\u00a0 Tonight was his first scrimmage of the year and he got to carry the ball.\u00a0 The one thing he wanted to do this year, of course when he got the ball he got tackled by the neck.\u00a0 He went down hard and started crying.\u00a0 I was at the point of crying, and really wanted to run onto the field to comfort him.\u00a0 Of course I couldn’t because that would embarrass the hell out of him and probably my husband too!\u00a0 My husband did go check on him on the sideline, but I couldn’t wait anymore, so I went and checked on him too.\u00a0 He wasn’t really hurt, more scared than anything, and I think I was more upset than he was.\u00a0 As much as I am proud of him, I’m also worried about him playing!<\/p>\n

Fortunately, J-Man isn’t interested in football. I’m pretty sure, except for the whole brain rotting aspect, he’s not going to get hurt playing video games. He does like to swim and run around outside, but nobody tackles him. Sissy loves swimming and running. One time we were at the beach and she just found her inner Forest Gump and took off running down the beach. She ran and ran until I could barely see her never mind keep up with her. Finally she turned around and ran back. Our 20 year old took horseback riding lessons for years and that made me nervous, especially when she was jumping. Our oldest daughter used to play softball, which didn’t involve any tackling, but lots of jumping around in the outfield and making dandelion necklaces..<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
