That’s how we started What The Hell Wednesday. <\/strong>Who are we kidding? That’s pretty much how we decide on almost everything. Last night I was watching t.v. and laying on the couch for about 30 minutes.\u00a0 I went to get up and my stomach was suddenly so swollen!\u00a0 What The Hell?<\/strong> I hadn’t done anything, and all of a sudden it looked like I swallowed a baseball.\u00a0 It was hard to the touch too!\u00a0 I’ve been healing pretty well, with not much swelling, so I was convinced something was wrong.\u00a0 I laid with ice on it all night long, and called the on call doctor at 6 am.\u00a0 He wasn’t that impressed, said it was weird, but that I should be fine, just put moist heat on it.\u00a0 I went to work, kept putting heat on it, and it was still big.\u00a0 I called again.\u00a0 The nurse said it sounded like it could be an infection, and even though I had an appointment at 4:45pm, would I like to come in early?\u00a0 Oh yes please, then I can stop worrying!\u00a0 “How about 4 pm?”<\/em> WHAT THE HELL??<\/strong> 45 minutes early?\u00a0 Really<\/em>?\u00a0 That’s all ya got?\u00a0 So I went in at 4pm, he took one look at my stomach and said, “oh yeah that’s totally normal, it usually pops out like that after 2 to 3 weeks.\u00a0 I tell people it’s like a little sausage, a hard, little sausage.” <\/em>Okay, first off<\/strong>, I don’t like the analogy here, second<\/strong>, you failed to mention this to me!!\u00a0 I asked him 10 different times, 10 different ways if he was sure<\/em>that this was normal.\u00a0 I mean usually you have surgery with some swelling, then it goes down, not the other way around.\u00a0 Unfortunately, my alien bump or little sausage will be around for a good 3 or so weeks, and it will be sore.\u00a0 Supah.\u00a0 Just between you and me, I still don’t think it’s normal, and I’m hoping I have a very expensive lawsuit on my hands.\u00a0 You be the judge…..<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a> And just so you know, it’s only<\/strong> on the right hand side.\u00a0 The left side of my abdomen is flat.\u00a0 It’s hard to capture that in the picture.\u00a0 This picture makes me look pregnant, but believe me, it’s a round ball on the right side.\u00a0 It looks like an alien.<\/p>\n

It’s almost impossibile to follow that. Really?What The Hell???<\/strong>I’m having a hard enough concentrating and typing when all I can do is look at that picture. Ewwwwwwww! I told Stacy it was one of those evil twin things and one of these days she’s going to pull up her shirt and it will have a face. Then it’s going to start telling her to do evil things. It never ends well.<\/p>\n

We live near a large teaching\/research hospital and they are always advertising for volunteers to for medical trials. Last week I saw one for Norovirus. What The Hell???? <\/strong>That’s the cruise ship virus, the one that makes everyone have projectile vomiting and uncontrollable diarhhea!!! Oh sure, sign me up for that! I’d love to get the trial vaccine and then be exposed to the virus. Or maybe I’d be lucky enough to get in the control group. The ones that get a fake vaccine and then be exposed to the virus. Fun stuff there. No amount of money would induce me to sign up for that. They are looking for volunteers if you’re interested.<\/p>\n
