If it’s Tuesday this must be Random Tuesday Thoughts. It used to be brought to you by Keely<\/a> at The Un-Mom but she’s taking a hiatus. Random Tuesdays still rock on with help from Stacy<\/a> .<\/p>\n

Stacy<\/strong><\/p>\n

When you work with people for years, you notice certain sayings or mannerisms.\u00a0 Occassionally those little sayings get on your nerves.\u00a0 For example, if I hear, “how’s it going”<\/em> or “not a problem”<\/em> one more time, I think I may stab myself with the letter opener.<\/p>\n

I got my new glasses today.\u00a0 For the record I’ve had glasses since the 7th grade, but haven’t worn them for years.\u00a0 Hopefully they will help with the headaches I’ve been getting.\u00a0 I put them on and Thing Two<\/strong> said, “Gee Mom, you don’t look like a geek like I thought you would.”<\/em> Gotta love that<\/em> kid.<\/p>\n

Actually speaking of glasses, it wasn’t until I just typed that last Random Thought<\/strong> did I realize that I’m supposed<\/em> to be wearing the damn things!\u00a0 Oops, see it has been awhile!<\/p>\n

In the mail today there was a postcard from my old cell phone company letting me know that they gave me a free month of service.\u00a0 I got a new one, because that particular phone was broken.\u00a0 But, since it has free money on it, I gave it to Thing Two<\/strong>.\u00a0 Now Thing One<\/strong> and Thing Two<\/strong> are texting each other while sitting RIGHT<\/em> next to each other!!<\/p>\n

Woot! It’s my day off! I have 2 kids home sick from school. Not so woot! Sissy has had a cold all weekend and this morning J-Man woke up with a sore throat and feels awful. That kid catches everything and misses a lot of school. The school isn’t too happy with how often he stays home (for the record, I’m not either) but when he’s sick enough, he stays home. This morning when he said he was sick I felt sick. Ugh! I hate calling the school to let them know. Maybe it’s just my imagination, but I can hear that judging tone in the attendance lady’s voice. (Oh, sure, he’s sick again<\/em>). But damnit, he’s my child and if he is sick he will stay home. If other kids didn’t go to school sick, then maybe he wouldn’t get sick so often.<\/p>\n

So instead of a day doing what I want to do, it’s a day of “Mom, I’m thirsty. Mom, I’m hungry. Mom, he’s looking at me! Mom, he took my spot! Mom, I had it first! Mom? Mom? Mom? Where did you go???<\/p>\n
