If it’s Tuesday this must be Random Tuesday Thoughts. It used to be brought to you by Keely <\/a>at The Un-Mom but she’s taking a hiatus. Okay, it’s been a really long hiatus but Random Tuesdays still rock on with help from Stacy<\/a> .<\/p>\n

Stacy<\/strong><\/p>\n

As a Mother, if your youngest son calls you and tells you that his older brother hooked him in the face with a fish hook, you will probably freak out like I did.\u00a0 The story when I finally heard it was awful, and I felt so bad, but in a way I was glad I wasn’t there because I think I would of freaked out really, really<\/em> bad!<\/p>\n

As much as my kids hate seeing the “Back to School”<\/em> commercials I think I<\/em> hate them even more.\u00a0 Just the thought of summer being over and having to get up at 5:30 a.m.\u00a0just depresses me!<\/p>\n

At work we have a door into our office.\u00a0 Everytime someone comes in the door they let it SLAM<\/strong> shut.\u00a0\u00a0And people come in and out of that door all day long<\/span>!\u00a0 It’s a wooden door, and the noise is so loud and distracting.\u00a0 I’m waiting for the pictures to fall off of the wall.\u00a0 I really want to go to Home Depot and find out what part is needed to make it stop from slamming and install it myself.\u00a0 I will pay for it.\u00a0 Anything to get the non-stop slamming to stop.\u00a0<\/p>\n

My smart phone is stupid.\u00a0 And I think it gets stupider by the day.\u00a0 Maybe they make it start off really smart and then have it get dumber and dumber so that you’ll buy a new one.\u00a0 And the stupid battery won’t keep a charge anymore, and it’s only a few months old!\u00a0 Stupid, stupid phone!<\/p>\n

Tomorrow Thing Two will get his broken finger x-rayed to see if it’s healed.\u00a0 The thing is his fingers are bright red and the skin is peeling off!\u00a0 Ewwww!\u00a0 It looks so painful!\u00a0 I guess it happened because he goes swimming everyday, and even though I remove the wrapping to let it dry, it still caused his skin to do that.\u00a0 I’m hoping he doesn’t end up with some skin infection now.<\/p>\n

One way to welcome a friend you haven’t seen in 8 years is invite her into your home, and have her walk into a big puddle of dog pee.\u00a0 It’s pretty funny at 2 am,\u00a0when you’re already silly, but it’s probably not the way she wanted to walk into my house.<\/p>\n

Elle<\/strong><\/p>\n

Sunday night we\u00a0drugged the puppy again and finished his grooming. I don’t think the pill worked as well this time because he didn’t swallow it whole and we hard a hard time giving him all the pieces. We missed the peak drugged time and this made it a lot harder to finish. Definitely not something I want to do often. Next time he gets drugged and taken to the groomers! Of course I haven’t taken his picture yet, but I will and put it up tomorrow.<\/p>\n

Last night we took the new kitten and Perry the puppy to the vet. When we got there the place was wall to wall cats and dogs. It was crazy. Of course, out of all the dogs there, mine was the only one barking. The kitten was laid back until they took his temperature. I wouldn’t enjoy it either.<\/p>\n

Apparently, a trip to the vet, lots of other dogs to bark at, an exam, a shot and a trip back home, makes the puppy carsick. Lovely. At least he was in his crate. My husband opened up the back of the SUV and I heard “He puked everywhere!” I came around the back of the truck and looked and my first thought was “Who the hell fed him egg noodles?!!”<\/p>\n

Since his crate was all egg noodly I put it outside on the patio. It was late and I figured I could hose it all off in the morning. Right.<\/em> After his last walk of the night I take him over to his crate and say “night, night” and he stands there in front of his crate with his head and tail hanging down. Clearly, his crate is a torture chamber and I’m a big meanie for sending him in there. Then he will actually sigh and slowly walk into his crate. I had this crazy idea that last night it would be a treat for him to not have to go into the torture crate and let him sleep in the kitchen. I put his soft bed in the place where his crate usually is and said “night, night”. He looked at his bed then at me, his head cocked to the side. I could see\u00a0hislittle dog brain working “Where is my torture chamber? I can’t sleep there!” I decided he would be fine and I left the kitchen. Not too many barks later I realized I would never get any sleep so I got the crate and did some quick cleaning and put his bed pillow in there because the other pad is probably a lost cause, being all egg noodly. I put the crate in the right spot and brought him over to it. Did I actually expect him to be happy? He stood there with his head and tail hanging down while I said “night, night”, he sighed and walked in as slowly as possible to the torture that was awaiting him.<\/p>\n
