Stacy<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/strong>Tonight it hit me that my boys won’t be with me on Thanksgiving.\u00a0 I’m not a huge fan of Thanksgiving, well at least not being the one hosting it, but I like the idea of it if I don’t have to do all the work.\u00a0 I didn’t think it would bother me.\u00a0 Apparently it does.<\/p>\n

I’ve realized that teenagers are stupider than I thought.\u00a0 At my part time seasonal job, someone called in and asked about their hours.\u00a0 She said, “I know I work 5 to 10 but I don’t know if it’s at night or in the morning.”<\/em>\u00a0\u00a0She was told\u00a0it was 5 to 10 pm.\u00a0 Her response, “is that morning or night?”\u00a0<\/em> She repeated, “pm”.\u00a0<\/strong> Again, “is that morning or night?”\u00a0 <\/em>Really?<\/p>\n

Another girl was training me, and I asked her what her position was.\u00a0 She said, “I’m a stocker, but not like a bad stocker, y’know?\u00a0 Like the kind that puts stuff on shelves.\u00a0 But they are spelled the same so that’s confusing.”<\/em>\u00a0 Wait, what?\u00a0 I joked and said, “Oh good, I was afraid for a second there.”<\/em>\u00a0 To which she just stared at me.\u00a0 Then I said, “well they aren’t spelled the same.\u00a0 If you stalk someone, it’s s-t-a-l-k-e-r, if you put stuff on shelves it’s s-t-o-c-k-e-r.”\u00a0<\/em> She thought for a minute and replied, “okay the o one, not the a one.”<\/em>\u00a0 Whew, glad she cleared that one up.\u00a0 Again, not so smart teenagers.\u00a0 Without autocorrect, they can’t spell anything.<\/p>\n

Oh, and what is wrong with people today??\u00a0 When did it become acceptable to go out shopping in your pajamas and slippers on a Saturday afternoon??\u00a0 Can you not get dressed by that point?\u00a0 Are you insane?\u00a0 At least put on some yoga pants and sneakers so you look like you just left your Pilate’s class or something.\u00a0 Wearing fuzzy pants with bright cartoon characters on them with fur slippers just makes you look crazy!<\/p>\n

Elle<\/strong><\/p>\n

Because one of our daughters is going to be away for Thanksgiving we celebrated on Sunday. I’m not sure what we’ll do on Thursday.\u00a0 Kinda sad, but I want to get my big grocery shopping done on that day. Wegmans is open and it will be pretty empty. I would have the whole store to myself. That’s definitely appealing.<\/p>\n

The other day\u00a0we were looking at the new Angry Birds Star Wars app for my iPad. I said to J-Man, “It’s $2.99” (I’m cheap, I like the free or $0.99 apps) His response? “Anything that epic is worth $2.99.” So yes, I bought it. It is pretty epic.<\/p>\n

I was in a work meeting last week and I was so excited to be\u00a0able to say\u00a0“We’ve got binders full of cats.” It’s the little things people, the little things.<\/p>\n
