{"id":775,"date":"2009-03-19T07:00:50","date_gmt":"2009-03-19T11:00:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/bluemonkeybutt.com\/home\/?p=775"},"modified":"2009-03-19T07:00:50","modified_gmt":"2009-03-19T11:00:50","slug":"say-what","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bluemonkeybutt.com\/home\/2009\/03\/19\/say-what\/","title":{"rendered":"Say What??"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The other day my son said something really cute and funny.\u00a0 It got me thinking that I really should write these things down, otherwise I will never remember what they were.\u00a0 So I&#8217;ve decided to share with you all funny things that my boys say or have said.\u00a0 Most have been said by our youngest.<\/p>\n<p><em>My taste bugs have changed<\/em> &#8211; this is still used by my 8 year old when referring to food his likes or dislikes.<\/p>\n<p><em>No Cheese Poppa<\/em> &#8211; we have a whole video of this when our youngest was 2 years old or so, and my father is trying to take a video of him.\u00a0 The whole time he kept saying that, which I guess meant he didn&#8217;t want his picture taken!<\/p>\n<p>My oldest son started wearing that Axe Deodorant spray, well, my youngest has speech problems and couldn&#8217;t say Axe correctly, although in his mind he was, here is the conversation, <em>&#8220;wow that Ass Deodorant Spray smells good, can I have some Ass Spray too?&#8221;\u00a0 <\/em>Yes, Ass Deodorant Spray, it still makes me laugh.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking of speech issues when he was probably 4 years old he couldn&#8217;t say the <strong>&#8220;ch&#8221;<\/strong> sound.\u00a0 We were over my friend&#8217;s house waiting for the school bus when she brought out some chalk.\u00a0 So, that started a whole conversation that I thought was going to make my friend die laughing.\u00a0<em> &#8220;Wow, that&#8217;s big caulk you have!\u00a0 We have caulk at my house, but our caulk isn&#8217;t as big as your caulk, your caulk is really big!&#8221;<\/em>\u00a0 Yes it sounded dirty and funny!<\/p>\n<p>A few years ago he asked me why girls have big <em>balloons<\/em>, and boys didn&#8217;t have <em>balloons<\/em>.\u00a0 When he got older he started hearing words I would of rather he not have heard.\u00a0 But he heard the technical word for a boy&#8217;s parts (see I don&#8217;t use it, I use PeePee), but he heard that wrong too.\u00a0 When his older brother hit him there one time he exclaimed, <em>&#8220;Ow! You hit me in my peanuts&#8221;<\/em>\u00a0 My husband and I started laughing (I know good parenting, laugh first, ask if you are okay second).\u00a0 Then he had heard someone refer to his <em>other<\/em> parts as nuts.\u00a0 Not a fan of that either, but he got it wrong again and said, <em>&#8220;my coconuts are bothering me&#8221;.<\/em>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Another funny conversation occurred when we signed him up for football.\u00a0 At the sign up they said he needed to have a cup to play.\u00a0 On the way to the car he said, <em>&#8220;I can use my big water bottle for football&#8221;,<\/em> and I agreed.\u00a0 He then continued with, <em>&#8220;well she said if I don&#8217;t have a cup I can&#8217;t play&#8221;.<\/em>\u00a0 Oh!\u00a0 Not that <em>type<\/em> of cup!\u00a0 I explained what kind of cup they were talking about, and where it goes.\u00a0 With a disgusted look on his face he says, <em>&#8220;my coach doesn&#8217;t put that on me does he?&#8221;.<\/em>\u00a0 Uh, no, if he did, there would be a problem!!\u00a0 Our oldest came home from school one day and said they had learned about <em>&#8220;Optimistic&#8221;<\/em> kids.\u00a0 After asking him many questions I came to realize he meant <em>&#8220;Autistic&#8221;<\/em> kids.<\/p>\n<p>Lastly the other night when our 8yr old was reading a book about a bird trying to teach a duck to sing he read, <em>&#8220;tweet, tweet, tweet&#8221;.<\/em>\u00a0 And then said,<em> &#8220;hey I&#8217;m singing like a Canadian&#8221;.<\/em>\u00a0 Um no honey, like a <em>canary <\/em>!\u00a0 I&#8217;m sure when he grows up, he&#8217;ll really appreciate me writing about the funny, cute things he used to say!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The other day my son said something really cute and funny.\u00a0 It got me thinking that I really should write these things down, otherwise I will never remember what they were.\u00a0 So I&#8217;ve decided to share with you all funny things that my boys say&hellip;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":3,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"__cvm_playback_settings":[],"__cvm_video_id":"","spay_email":"","jetpack_publicize_message":""},"categories":[17,1],"tags":[121,263,308,685,2174],"jetpack_featured_media_url":"","jetpack_publicize_connections":[],"jetpack_sharing_enabled":true,"jetpack_shortlink":"https:\/\/wp.me\/p3ISGQ-cv","jetpack_likes_enabled":true,"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.bluemonkeybutt.com\/home\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/775"}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.bluemonkeybutt.com\/home\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.bluemonkeybutt.com\/home\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.bluemonkeybutt.com\/home\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/3"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.bluemonkeybutt.com\/home\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=775"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/www.bluemonkeybutt.com\/home\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/775\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.bluemonkeybutt.com\/home\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=775"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.bluemonkeybutt.com\/home\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=775"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.bluemonkeybutt.com\/home\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=775"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
