365 Days of Disney – Days 37 – 41

It’s no secret that I’m a fan of everything Disney, everything! With all the magical Disney items I have and use on a daily basis I thought it would be a fun idea to see if I have enough to post a photo of one Disney item I own each day for a whole year, 365 Days of Disney. No duplicates. I’m sure I have more than enough!

Spending time in Massachusetts with my family totally interfered with my posting but spending time with them was definitely more important.

Here is a collage of some vintage postcards from when visiting Walt Disney World meant visiting the Magic Kingdom because it was the only park. No EPCOT, no Hollywood Studios, and no Animal Kingdom.

Looking through these post cards made me realize I miss 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea since it was the only way most of us would ever feel what it would be like to ride in a submarine. Look at that little boy riding on Dumbo with his dad. This had to be before mandatory safety belts because that kid doesn’t look very safe the way he’s almost hanging out of Dumbo. That’s a lawsuit waiting to happen right there. The Haunted Mansion looks so stark. The trees and shrubs have really grown and filled out the empty space since this photo was taken.
