Random Tuesday Thoughts~Elle is Too Sick to Think

I’m sick and I’m having trouble thinking. Which may or may not help with my random thoughts.

I slept on the couch in the living room last night. I have a Mom Cold as you may know. My husband did take pity on me and ran to the store last night to load up on nightime cold medicine, daytime cold medicine and more ibuprofen. I talk a lot at my job. I get tons of phone calls and people walking in asking questions. They are going to love my announcements over the loudspeaker with my raspy voice.

I get annoyed with the autocorrect on my phone. I can tell you how many times I’ve typed people and my thumb must hit the R instead of the Eand autocorrect corrects people to proletariat. Seriously, how often does that word come up in conversation? Then when I type the word hellit autocorrects it to he’ll. But if I type wellit doesn’t autocorrect it to we’ll.

Today is the last day we have our foster mom cat and her little baby kitten. The kids are a little sad and so am I. Tomorrow morning they will come back to work with me to get spayed and neutered and then I hope they will get adopted quickly. The kitten will get adopted quickly but the mom cat might take a little longer. She is so sweet and I would love to keep her, but I really don’t want to push my husband over the edge with another pet and I don’t want to become a crazy cat lady.

Poor Elle, now she’s sick. It’s that time of year. You know the time when you have too much to do, lots of family commitments, school recitals, and need to work as much as possible because you only have like 2 paychecks until Christmas? Yeah this time of year. Or maybe that’s just me.

Thing One just got kicked off the bus yet again. I’d like to write about how much I hate his bus driver, and how useless the bus company and school has been in this ordeal. But I won’t, that’s a whole post in itself.

My kids have started their Christmas List early and longer this year. It’s ridiculous. Everyday they add another thing to the list. Now I know they won’t get everything on their list anyways, it just bugs me when they have these outrageous wants. I want a crazy Christmas list too. I want a trip to Disney, a vacation home in Italy, a new BMW from the Mission Impossible movie and a falcon, not just a regular falcon but a Rock n Roll Falcon. Yep, that sounds about right. Hey I’ve been good all year, I’ve done my chores, and the kids chores!

People really need to listen. No body listens anymore. At work I answer the phone, “Good Morning, blah blah blah company” And the woman says, “Is this blah blah blah company?” Wait, what did I just say? Seriously it’s like she didn’t even listen when I answered the phone and stated the name of the company that she called.

Another thing that bugs me, is when someone asks how you are, but then doesn’t wait for you to answer and begins talking about something completely different. I’m sorry but if I say “hi how are you?” And then they said, “good how are you?” I should be able to answer it with “good”. But no, they start talking before you can even answer it. Not very polite.

This time of year I get stressed out a lot. Did I mention 2 paychecks until Christmas? And I tend to get cranky with people. Especially rude people. Even today I was at the grocery store trying to grab a couple items and people were just so annoying. Then this one woman came out of an aisle and practically hit me with her cart, didn’t say anything and then cut right in front of me. I, being a polite, nice person, gave her a dirty look with an attitude and said, “EXCUSE ME.” She looked right at me, and I really wanted to say, “what? yeah I said it.” But she just kept walking cutting off other people. It’s too bad I didn’t see where she parked in the parking lot, you never know when an empty cart comes out of no where and bangs into your car by accident…….
