Random Tuesday Thoughts

Sitting here trying to be random, and I got distracted by how bad my nails look. I’ve really ignored them lately. I’d like to get them done, but the last time I did (probably 20 years ago), they all came off. Apparently my nails reject them, since it happened twice and the salon finally told me there was nothing they could do. Stupid nails.
Okay, did my nails, now I can’t type. The 1 minute nail polish takes like 30 to dry, only 29 more minutes than it promises.
Ever notice how Lucky Charms tastes like wet cardboard? I think the only reason my kids eat it is for the marshmallows. It even smells like wet cardboard. It’s just gross. Oh, and never leave a bit of cereal in a bowl. The cereal mixed with milk turns into some industrial strength glue. The only reason that popped into my head is because I’m staring at a half eaten bowl of them on the computer desk. Note to self, remind child that he doesn’t live in a household with a personal maid.
I haven’t sent Christmas cards in probably a year or two. Today I became one of those people that bug me. I ordered and picked up my photo Christmas cards today. That’s right, I’m going to be one of the first people to mail out Christmas cards this year!

As long as Stacy doesn’t add a brag letter to her cards. Totally a big pet peeve of mine. I don’t really want to read how great the car you bought this year and how it’s so much better than the car you bought last year, or about the trip you took where you met the Pope and he was so impressed by you that you are now BFF’s and you got to ride around in the Pope-mobile. That’s just totally annoying.
My husband is back from Germany. He was supposed to land at 11:30pm Saturday night. Which meant a 7 hour layover in Newark. He was able to catch an earlier flight and texted me he’d be home in 2 hours at 3:30pm. Nice, but I have to admit I may have been planning on having a few more hours to clean before he got home. Working, helping kids with homework and making dinner every night, and taking care of the pets and foster pets didn’t leave me a whole lot of time for extra housework.
