Saturday, June 29th, Macy’s Great American Drive-In came to The Marketplace Mall in Rochester, NY.

They blew up a giant screen in the Macy’s parking lot. I totally want one of these for my backyard. Can you imagine the fun movie parties you could have on warm summer nights? The kids would love it.

While we were waiting for the movie to start there were carnival games, face painting, and balloon animals. J-Man and his friend chose balloon swords. They had a great time sword fighting in the closed off parking lot.

Kids were having a great time with the sidewalk chalk and the unlimited space to create their art.

There was a DJ playing music and a lot of the kids were up by the screen dancing. Once the movie started everyone got comfy in the car with pillows, blankets, balloon swords, popcorn, and glow sticks.

It was so much fun to take the kids to an old-fashioned drive-in movie. Everyone had a great time and enjoyed “The Smurfs”. Thanks to Macy’s for putting on this fun family event!
