It’s National Cat Day and if you know me, you know cats are a pretty big part of our family. We have our 19-year-old guy, Snuffy, then George, Jezebel, and Rosie.
George is too smart for his own good and can open doors. Jezebel is great at looking beautiful and complaining if anyone touches her. Rosie is deaf and requires special handling which we refer to as Rosie Rules. All in all they get along for the most part.
We adopted all of them from Lollypop Farm. Both Jezebel and Rosie were foster fails. This year Snuffy will celebrate his 20th Christmas with us. Once the tree is up, he’ll sleep underneath it until we take it down. I think he loves Christmas as much as I do.
If you’re thinking of adding a cat or kitten to your family, think about adopting one from a shelter. You’ll be helping the cat or kitten you adopt and making room for another cat or kitten. If you can’t adopt right now, think about fostering cats or kittens in need. You’ll be giving them a great start and making room in the shelter for more animals. Shelter pets rock!
Meet Tori, our Lollypop Farm Pet of the Week.
Tori is a sweet 7-year-old tiger cat who is looking for a new home. She came to Lollypop Farm after being found as a stray, and now she’s ready for a family of her very own! Tori is an affectionate, calm kitty who loves gentle attention and has the cutest tiny “meow.” She is available through the Seniors-for-Seniors program and can go home with an approved adopter 60-years or older for free! Stop by Lollypop Farm to meet her today! Learn more: www.lollypop.org/cats
