Why Do I Bother?
Well, I called a family member yesterday to tell her about my surgery. I figured I should let her know instead of her hearing about it afterwards. The conversation went something like this
Me: I’m having some surgery on Friday
Her: What for?
Me: I’m having some work done to my lower eyelids.
Her: I know you’ve got those big bags under your eyes.
Me: Ya…they are caused by Graves Disease.
Her: Grades? Grays?
Me: No, it’s Graves disease.
Her: I’ve never heard of that. You’ve had those bags for a long time.
Me: I’ve had Graves for a long time.
Probably why I’ve never mentioned Graves disease to her before.
