I had a wicked awesome (originally from Mass people) long weekend.  I hope you all did too.  The problem with a long weekend or vacation is that I can’t remember what day it is or what date it is!  For example I knew that today was Monday, but I didn’t really think about it, because I totally forgot about writing Mental Defective Monday!  That’s what Elle and I write on Mondays.  And then my neighbor mentioned a new show on tonight after Intervention, and I said, “oh yea, it’s Monday, I forgot again”.  I am going to be all messed up this week, I already am!

I think Jon & Kate (from Jon & Kate Plus 8 ), need to see a marriage counselor stat!  I’m watching the new episode right now, and if they can afford that McMansion, they can afford a marriage counselor.  They really need one, hello you have 8 kids, and you can’t even look at each other!

My kids school’s have a bunch of field trips planned from now until the end of school.  Now my oldest son hasn’t gone on ONE field trip all year, but this week he’s going to see Night at the Museum, next week he’s going to some place in Mass, and then the week after he’s going to Canobie Lake Park in NH.  Why is it that the beginning of school and the end of school is so freakin’ expensive???!!!

With the end of school drawing near, and my surgery looming, I feel like time is just flying by!  I keep thinking I have all this time to get things done before June 29th, but working 5 days a week, and being busy with all the kids things, I am just running out of time!  I’ve organized 1 and 1/2 kids rooms (we have 2), so I guess that’s not too bad.  I haven’t organized our bedroom or the laundry room.  I need to get every thing in order so that every one knows where every thing is.  Because I’m usually the “all knowing one” when it comes to the inside of the house.  My husband is “all knowing” when it comes to fixing things, yard things, and all around husband-y stuff!

We finally got back home Sunday and I’m completely exhausted from our vacation. I feel like we climbed Mt. Everest instead of taking a family trip to Disney World. Don’t even mention the laundry. Really, don’t mention it.

While at Disney we found an awesome spot to watch Spectromagic, the electric light parade they have at the Magic Kingdom. I’d tell you where it was, but then it would get out and we wouldn’t be able to sit there next time we go. It might be sooner than we planned because Disney Daughter loved it there sooo much she wants to do it again next year. I might have recuperated enough by then to go again!

Has anyone ever shaved a cat???? You see, we have this one cat that is covered in clumps. He’s a very sweet cat until I reach for the comb/brush, then he freaks out, growls and bites. So combing him is out. I’ve been cutting them out very carefully, but now he looks all patchy. Actually he looks pretty creepy with all these patches. So I was thinking if I shaved him, he couldn’t look any worse. Because right now he looks like a Pet Cemetery reject.
