My ankle started hurting Friday for no apparent reason. I thought it would get better by the next day, but of course it didn’t. I ended up going to urgent care and got an x-ray. The doctor came back in and said “Have you ever broken your ankle before?” Ummmmmmmmm..no. “A bad sprain?” Tons of times. Turns out one of my bad sprains was a little worse than a sprain. She saw bone fragments in my x-ray. Hmmmmmm…I guess that explains the sharp jabbing pain I get on occasion and why it hurts so much now. I’ve been trying to stay off of it as much as possible. Well as much as being a mom allows. So, ya, not resting it that much.

Yesterday morning it was below freezing. Below freezing, ugh!

Those Dominos Pizza commercials bug me. You know the ones where the people have no idea they are on a farm. Oh, puh-lease. Of course they know where they are. There’s no way I’d be getting in a limo and driven out in the middle of nowhere without knowing where I was going. I’ve seen enough movies to know that never ends well. Just sayin’

As most of you know, I became a grandmother last week and I’m having a little trouble with the whole term grandmother. I’m thrilled, but still, grandmother??? It conjures up pictures of little old ladies with gray hair sitting in rocking chairs and smelling like Ben-Gay and mothballs. I’ve got a tween and an 8 year old still at home. Is there such a thing as a hip grandmother? Probably not, more like broken hip grandmother.

Today I broke out into hives.  They got progressively worse as the day went on.  I have no idea why I got them, I haven’t changed soap, or eaten anything weird.  My boss asked if I was allergic to the necklace I was wearing.  I was wearing a sterling silver necklace that a friend gave me, that has an onyx on it.  The necklace is suppose to repel negativity.  Which made me think that maybe it was repelling me, and I was having a reaction to it trying to remove my negativity, hmmmmm……

Tomorrow night is the Presidents State of the Union Address, all I can say is, thank you for giving your speech on Tuesday this time so that you don’t make me miss Modern Family on Wednesday, like you did last time!

It is below freezing here too.  Actually this morning it was -8!  Between the amount of snow we have gotten so far and these cold temperatures, I’m about ready to go on House Hunters International and move somewhere tropical!

So I see that someone found the Golden Ticket!!  That woman is going to be set for life!!  Oprah has a half sister she didn’t even know about.  When that woman figured out who her half sister was, she probably started screaming like the audience does when Oprah gives them a bunch of free “Favorite Things!”
