The New Hot Bar in Town

The New Hot Bar in Town

This past weekend I took the boys to Chuck E. Cheese.  I’m not a big fan of the place, but with almost 3 days of rain, I had to get out of the house, and the energy out of them!  So off we went, and I learned something new about Chuck E. Cheese that I never knew!  Even after all the times I’ve been there, I never knew!  Their big secret….they serve BEER!  Yep, beer!  I couldn’t believe it!  I was really shocked.  Is it really a good idea to serve beer to people who are then going to drive their family home?  I’m hoping they have a designated driver!  The reason I discovered this is because apparently it was “Divorce Dad Day” at Chuck E. Cheese.  There were a bunch of guys hanging around drinking beer while their kids were playing games, and not one of them was wearing a wedding ring.

I can just hear them now, “hey Joe, what are you gonna do with the kids today?”  “I dunno Frank, I really just want to drink beer and play video games”  “Hey I have an awesome idea, we can bring them to Chuck E. Cheese, drink beer and play video games!”  “Oh man that is so awesome!”

Elle said she thinks they serve beer there for the employees, because no person could actual stand working there unless they were drinking!  I’m going to have to agree with her there.  So next time you want to bring the kids to Chuck E. Cheese and your husband does not want to go….let him know they serve beer!
