Thank Goodness it's Election Day!!!
This is the sign that I put on our front door today. I came home to sleep because along with the “mono”, I also have a cold. The thing is every stinking day there are people from the Obama campaign that come knocking on my door. And I’ve tried to be nice, I really have, but enough is enough. Everyday they come and everyday I tell them to leave me alone, I haven’t made up my mind yet, and them coming to my door is not going to change that! Maybe if Obama came to my house personally, that may sway me. Anyways, I saw them walking around the neighborhood when I got home so I put up the sign. Believe me the sign is nicer than the one I wanted to put up: NO POLITICAL SOLICITORS, VIOLATORS WILL BE SHOT ON SITE! or my personal favorite: BEWARE…MONKEY MAY THROW FECES! I have never hid the fact that I am not a big fan of people, but with the cold, mono and getting my period early, I am soooo not in the mood! So I am happy that it is Election Day, and not because I can’t wait to go do my civic duty and vote, (actually I have to bring the kids, probably go wait in a long line and I have no patience). It’s a much more personal selfish reason! The reason I’m happy that it’s Election Day is because -no more strangers will knock on my door and harass me about who I’m voting for, I can see actual real commercials for products-not political ones, I can stop getting endless mailings from candidates, and the automated phone calls will come to an end! I won’t have to listen to stupid Hollywood actors telling me who I should vote for! It will all be over!!! So, here I am waiting for my youngest to get home so I can bring both boys to experience the right to vote. I’m hoping that there aren’t any annoying people holding signs there. I’m soo not in the mood. Leave me alone and let me pick. Even if it’s eeny, meeny, miney, moe! I’m sure my youngest will be very loud in the booth and announce who I voted for. I also found it funny that everyone who came into work today was wearing a sticker “I VOTED TODAY“, which really made me laugh. Sorry, but all these adults are wearing stickers because they voted. “Okay, you voted, you deserve a sticker!!! Give me a break, I’m an adult, I don’t want a sticker! Free donuts, candy, money, y’know something like that would work.
Speaking of political candidates, this is a picture of me dressed like Sara Palin for Halloween at work. A few people said I should dress like that when I go vote. I’m thinking that’s not a good idea. Hopefully it’s quick, easy, nobody aggravates me and maybe they’ll have free donuts!
