Meow Monday

On Friday, our beautiful office kitty Duchess was adopted.

As sad as we were to see her go, it was a happy moment. She was very lonely once all of her kittens were adopted. Every afternoon, just before I would leave, she would sense it was time to go and jump on my desk and purr and purr. She would watch me clean up my things and try to follow me out the door. We’re going to miss her a lot, but that’s part of fostering a pet. We get them healthy, socialized, and we fall in love with them, and then let them go to their new families. It’s hard, but so worth it.
