Social Distancing Days 20 & 21

Social Distancing Days 20 & 21

Social Distancing Days 20 & 21. Gotta admit, it seems longer.

Saturday morning we ventured out for groceries. We had our masks ready and wearing them felt odd. I was surprised to see more people wearing them at Walmart than at Wegmans and I didn’t see any employees wearing masks at all. We were the only people with stylish Finding Nemo masks.

The weather wasn’t as good as we hoped, but my Ford Thunderbird got out of the garage and cleaned up for spring. I can’t wait for the weather to warm up and go for a ride with the top down.

It wasn’t an essential purchase, but Wegmans had these beautiful hanging pots outside and I couldn’t resist the orange ones. I don’t even like orange, but they just seemed to sunny and happy. Now I just have to make sure I don’t kill it. I don’t have a green thumb at all!

It’s no secret I’m missing Disney. Even though we didn’t even have a trip planned. So, we decided to create a little Disney at home. Dole Whip is pretty popular. You can get it in Magic Kingdom Park and it’s so delicious and refreshing. But, did you know you can get it in Disney’s Animal Kingdom with rum? So we recreated the famous Dole Whip with Rum from Tamu Tamu Refreshments in Harambe. It was delicious as a dessert after dinner last night. Highly recommend!

Overall, the weekend wasn’t bad. I definitely don’t have as much motivation to get things done. But, I’m working on it.

Still not any really good news. They are saying be prepared for the worst week of cases so far. That’s a scary thought, but beyond limiting our trips to the grocery store and taking precautions by wearing masks and massive hand washing, there isn’t much we can do.

This weekend I’m grateful for lazy days and not feeling guilty about taking time to decompress.

Take care of each other.
