I’m feeling a little guilty because I wasn’t home for Snuffy’s Birthday this year, or last year. What kind of crazy cat lady am I? A slacker, that’s what. I’ll make it up to him on his 20th birthday and give him extra snuggles when…
Thanksgiving is over and it’s time to get back to real life. No more pumpkin pie, okay a slice of pumpkin pie and a slice of apple pie, for breakfast and we are back home. We had such a nice relaxing visit with family and it’s a good way to head into the upcoming holiday season.
We brought Snuffy with us again and he continues to surprise us with how great he is on trips. He’s even easier than the dogs. He doesn’t love riding in his big wire crate but once we let him out he was just fine. After hanging with me in the passenger seat watching the world go by he settled down and took a nap between the kids in the back seat. Not bad for an 18-year-old cat on a 7 hour ride.
Once we arrived at my parent’s house, he made himself at home. Their dog Penny wasn’t thrilled since she’s the princess of the house, but they got along fine.
Now that we’re home he’s waiting for the Christmas tree to go up. It’s his favorite time of the year. Once the tree goes you can usually find him curdled up napping under the tree. I guess it’s kind of fitting since we adopted him on December 23, 2000. He’ll always be our Christmas kitty.
