Aloha Friday

Friday is the day that Hawaiians take it easy and get ready for the weekend. So in that spirit we’re asking a simple question. Head on over to An Island Life for more Aloha Friday fun and to sign Mr. Linky if you’re playing.

Which brings us to our question of the day. Have you ever tripped over Paris Hilton’s dogs, been flashed by Brittany sans underwear or been yelled at by Tom Cruise for taking anti-depressants? We want to know about your brush with fame.

Years ago, I won’t say how many, my first job was as a cashier at a little grocery store in Massachusetts. One of our regular customers was Terry O’Reilly, a retired Boston Bruin. He was always super polite and usually had his little boys with him. Also, once I saw Roger Clemens at Logan Airport while he was still with the Red Sox. That’s it. My big brushes with fame. I know our parents have a few to mention so we’ll be waiting for Mom’s comment.

I haven’t met anyone too famous, and only one I’ve met out in public.  The other two I met at a Christmas Party where they were signing autographs.  The first celebrities I met, I didn’t even know who they were at first, they looked like regular guys.  I met the Beastie Boys walking down the street in Boston.  The other two were Mo Vaughn (former Red Sox player), and Chris Slade (former Patriots player).  All were nice…believe me if they weren’t I would of let them know!
