Mother Cat Meow Monday

Usually I post about one of my cats, but today I’m posting about a special mother cat who lost her own kittens and adopted a litter of orphaned kittens. I just love stories like this.

Over the weekend, a mother cat was brought to Lollypop Farm, her litter of kittens were killed by a skunk. Then a litter of orphaned kittens, too small to be without their mom, came in. The wonderful staff at Lollypop Farm had an idea. They put the motherless kittens with the kitten-less mother cat and a wonderful thing happened, the mother cat accepted the kittens as her own and it was just about the sweetest thing ever.

Here are a couple photos from the video, which explains why they are a bit grainy.

If you go to Lollypop Farm’s Facebook page you can see the adorable video for yourself.

Now for Piper, our Lollypop Farm Pet of the Week.

#29447100

Piper is a 6-year-old male domestic longhair mix who goes from shy to very sociable once he figures out how well you scratch his back and chin. Piper came to Lollypop Farm with his buddy, Clouds. Clouds has found a new home but that leaves Piper a little lonely. We’re hoping he finds some new humans soon. Piper is available free of charge to approved adopters through Lollypop Farm’s Seniors-for-Seniors program.
